Thursday Morning Task Force
A Wide Range of Initiatives
You are invited to join us every Thursday morning for fun, fellowship, and odd jobs in and around the church from 9-Noon. We do any variety of jobs from mowing and trimming to dusting and cleaning closets! Many hands make light work as we visit the morning away. Come join us in beautifying St. Andrew’s!
Saturday Project Day
A Wide Range of Initiatives
On the 3rd Saturday of each month, you are all invited to come to the St. Andrew’s Project Day! We meet from 8:30-11:00 to do various chores around the church. Many times the Thursday Morning Task Force cannot keep up with all the maintenance, so we give those who work during the week a chance to help serve in this capacity! Come on out and join the fun!
Caring for the Earth
Our Youth Group recycles aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles to help fund their events and camps. You can drop them off in the social hall and the youth will collect them from there! Thanks so much for supporting this endeavor. It is good for our youth and good for the planet too!
Oh Sew Good
Every Stitch with Love
Our very own Martha makes many quilts for the Children’s Receiving Home as well as for the children born into our St. Andrew’s family. To help offset the cost of making these quilts; Martha is always on the lookout for extra thread, material, and stuffing. She can use clean old sheets, blankets, denims, towels, etc to stuff the quilts. You can drop them off in the office or Narthex in a bag labeled “For Martha”. Many years of enjoyment come from the gift of a quilt. Thanks for your service Martha!

So You Love to Sing?
All are welcome to attend choir rehearsals each Wednesday evening at 6pm. We also warm up Sunday mornings before the service at 9:30. The choir sings an anthem during the Sunday morning service. They also usually perform a Christmas and Easter Cantata each year. If you like music and fellowship join the choir!
Abundance in Action
Together we can all make a difference!
Have you ever wondered what the Abundance in Action is for? On the first Sunday of each month, we set out the Abundance in Action signs and baskets on stools on each side of the Sanctuary. As you come up for communion, you are invited to bring a special offering, maybe a dollar or two to drop in the baskets. Each month, the finance committee selects a mission or a part of our conference giving for the recipient of our Abundance in Action offering. A few of the past recipients include the United Methodist Black College Fund, Mustard Seed Schools, UMCOR, Loaves and Fishes, St. Andrew’s Scholarship Fund, the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, etc. Just a little from all of us helps to bring in much needed funding for these programs. Look in the Sunday Worship Bulletins on the first Sunday of the month to see where that month’s offering is going.
