St. Andrew's Food Closet
Matthew 25:35-40
New International Version (NIV)
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for me.”
Did you know that we have our very own Food Closet? On the last Sunday of every month, we are invited to bring non-perishable food to church to fill our food closet! We get many requests through-out the month from those in need. Sometimes they are strangers, and sometimes they are our own friends from St. Andrew’s. Whoever it is, we are happy to supply them with a bag of food, and during the season, produce from the community garden. We are open every Thursday 11-2!

Thursday Morning Task Force
A Wide Range of Initiatives
You are invited to join us every Thursday morning for fun, fellowship, and odd jobs in and around the church from 8:30-11:30. We do any variety of jobs from mowing and trimming to dusting and cleaning closets! Many hands make light work as we visit the morning away. Come join us in beautifying St. Andrew’s!

Church Choir
So You Love to Sing?
Our church choir is led by the talented musician Kyle Cremat. Choir is in session September-May. All are welcome to attend choir rehearsals each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. They also warm up Sunday mornings before the service at 9:30. The choir sings an anthem during the Sunday morning service while in session. They also usually perform a Christmas and/or Easter Cantata each year. Kyle also encourages those who would like to share special music during the summer months to contact him. If you like music and fellowship join the choir!
Abundance in Action
Together we can all make a difference!
Have you ever wondered what the Abundance in Action is for? On the first Sunday of each month, we set out the Abundance in Action signs and baskets on stools on each side of the Sanctuary. As you come up for communion, you are invited to bring a special non-pledge offering to drop in the baskets. Each month, the finance committee selects a mission or a part of our conference giving for the recipient of our Abundance in Action offering. A few of the past recipients include the United Methodist Black College Fund, Mustard Seed Schools, UMCOR, Loaves and Fishes, St. Andrew’s Mission Funds, etc. Just a little from all of us helps to bring in much needed funding for these programs. Look in the Sunday Worship bulletins on the first Sunday of the month to see where that month’s offering is going. Together we can all make a difference!

St. Andrew's Scholarship Fund
St. Andrew’s has now formed a scholarship fund for higher education! This fund is specifically set up to support continuing college educational opportunities for our St. Andrew’s congregants. If you would like to contribute specifically to this fund, you may write a check to St. Andrew’s UMC and put “Scholarship Fund” in the memo line on your check. The scholarship committee will review applicants and award scholarships each fall.
